Clear records keep cross-border work moving.
We organize decisions, evidence requests, and authority correspondence so the working team can see what is complete, what is open, and who owns the next step.
Transparent scoping before fees.
China registration costs vary by device class, testing requirements, clinical pathway, and dossier readiness. Rather than publish a misleading flat price, we show what drives each estimate.

Common first questions.
Early clarity prevents avoidable delays. These answers are general; the right route depends on the device and manufacturer.
When does an overseas manufacturer need a China local agent?
An overseas NMPA applicant must appoint an in-country entity to carry out specified agent responsibilities. The exact arrangement depends on the product and registration route, but it is a legal operating role—not simply translation support.
Is NMPA registration only an administrative filing?
No. The pathway can involve product classification, technical documentation, type testing, clinical evaluation or trials, labeling, and regulator questions. The required work depends on the device.
Will every device need a clinical trial in China?
Not necessarily. The clinical route may involve an exemption, evaluation using existing evidence, or a local trial. It must be assessed against the current requirements and the device’s evidence base.
What should we prepare for a first consultation?
A product description, intended use, classification or approvals in other markets, available technical and clinical evidence, manufacturing details, and your target launch timing.
Bring us the device, your China-market objective, and the decision you need to make.
About BCAA Consulting
Local presence is the beginning. Execution is the advantage.
We help U.S. medical device manufacturers turn China-market requirements into an accountable local workstream.
The real barrier is not language. It is lawful local presence, regulatory execution, and experienced government communication.
Entering China requires more than translated documents. A manufacturer needs a legally recognized local presence, a workable NMPA strategy, evidence that fits the pathway, and disciplined ownership of every official question and response.
BCAA Consulting is structured around that operating reality. We connect U.S. decision-makers with the in-country representation and regulatory execution needed to move a China registration forward, while keeping ownership, records, and next steps clear.
Bilingual communication supports the work; it is not the work itself. Our value is making the pathway executable, maintaining continuity with authorities, and keeping the manufacturer accountable without leaving it alone.
One boutique practice, two market-entry directions.
BCAA Consulting is a boutique consultancy focused exclusively on medical-device access between the United States and China. Each market-facing site stays specific to the client’s destination, while our broader practice connects local representation, regulatory execution, and authority communication on both sides.

The team
Cross-border partners focused on accountable market-entry execution.
Our partners bring together China-side industry relationships and U.S.-side market experience to support medical device companies entering either market.
Partner
Wang Yao
Wang Yao is a seasoned biopharmaceutical investor based in China and a graduate of Jinan University, with investments in multiple biopharmaceutical companies across China and expertise spanning both finance and industry. Long active in China's medical device sector, he has built extensive networks across the industry association and commercial ecosystem. At BCAA, Wang leads China-side strategic resources and industry partnerships — the scarcest link for US medical device companies entering China.
Partner
Frank Wang
Frank Wang came to the United States in 2015 and has lived here for over a decade, giving him a deep, firsthand understanding of both American and Chinese business cultures. He earned his bachelor's degree from New York University (Sports Management, minor in Nutrition) and a Master of Management Studies from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business — both with powerful alumni networks across the US. After graduation, he worked at a multinational trading company, where he developed deep expertise in taking products global. At BCAA, Frank leads US-side operations: he knows how the American market works, and he understands what Chinese companies need when entering it.
